Dr. King Wong,
MB BCh, ABOS, FRCS
Dr King Wong attended, and graduated from, the University of Toronto's Orthopaedic Surgery Residency from 2007 to 2012. He then attended the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, from 2012 to 2013 to complete a Hand & Upper Extremity Fellowship. He achieved membership at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2012 and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Certification in 2014. He started his working career in 2013 at the Owen Sound Regional Hospital in Ontario before being recruited by Peterborough Regional Health Centre in 2014.
Since 2014, Dr Wong has helped to establish the upper extremity surgery program at PRHC. The program is now a high volume centre for both referrals and surgeries, and in terms of numbers, it has become one of the busiest shoulder programs outside of an academic setting.
Dr Wong is currently practising at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with a special interest in upper extremity and sports medicine.
