Procedural Medicine / Injections
Lidocaine Injections
Numbing agent commonly used for those suffering from Fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, spinal cord injuries, and some causes of complex regional pain syndrome.
Ketamine
- Analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent commonly used to treat migraines and a variety of chronic pain conditions.
Joint Aspiration & Injections
- This procedure involves the removal of joint fluid from a swollen joint, or injecting medication into the joint.
- Technique is used to treat a variety of inflammatory conditions such as tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis, gout at a variety of joints in the body.
- Provides pain relief, decreases joint stiffness, improves range of motion.
Prolotherapy Injections
- Refers to injections that promote long-term, permanent pain relief by encouraging the body to heal itself.
- This clinic offer a type of prolotherapy called Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection.
- Platelets are known to clot blood, but also have properties to repair and heal cells.
- Used to stimulate and accelerate the natural repair process of the body.
- Blood is collected from the patient, then spun in a centrifuge until the highest concentration of platelets are collected; these platelets are then injected into the target site that requires healing.
Trigger Point Injections
- Refers to areas of the muscle that produce pain when stimulated.
- Injections at these points are beneficial for those suffering from myofascial pain.
Botox Therapy
- “Botulinum toxin” blocks nerve activity in the muscles.
- Beneficial for those with spastic disorders, chronic migraines, urinary incontinence, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ syndrome), piriformis syndrome, occipital neuralgia, sacroiliac joint dysfunction.
